President Joseph Aoun: “Eid al-Adha teaches us not to sacrifice our children or shed their blood”
May 27, 2026
Sydney – Middle East Times Int'l: President Joseph Aoun congratulated the Lebanese people in general, and Muslims in particular, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, wishing that this holiday would bring peace, hope, and better days for Lebanon and its people.
President Aoun stated that “the meanings embodied in Eid al-Adha are a shared concept among all our heavenly religions, and its highest meaning remains that God intended through this experience for us to learn how not to sacrifice our children or shed their blood, but rather to redeem them and give them life.”
