Lebanese woman says faith and blessing brought miracle healing

Sydney-Middle East Times Int'l:
A Lebanese woman has shared a moving testimony about her long struggle with intestinal cancer, describing what she experienced after visiting the Kfifan Monastery and wearing a girdle anointed at the tomb of Blessed Brother Estephan Nehme as “a blessing and a healing that completely changed my life”.
Mrs Elissar Nakouzi, from the town of Amchit, explained that she endured many years of pain and suffering after undergoing intestinal surgery. Her medical condition prevented her from eating normally, leaving her constantly dependent on medications and supplements in order to manage her daily life.
“I could not eat, drink, or sleep normally,” she said. “I lived on pureed food and constant medication, while my body suffered from continuous fatigue and severe deterioration.”
According to Mrs Nakouzi, she spent nearly five years undergoing treatments, medical tests, and regular doctor visits. She emphasised that she kept all the medical reports relating to her condition and later submitted them to the Kfifan Monastery.
The turning point, she recalled, came on the night of January 24, 2026, when she sensed the presence of Brother Estephan Nehme in a vision “filled with light”. In the vision, he asked her to visit the Kfifan Monastery on January 27.
“I felt very afraid and told my mother what I had seen,” Mrs Nakouzi said. “When January 27 arrived, it felt as though a force was compelling me to go up to Kfifan.”
That day, she participated in the Mass and procession at the monastery, where she met with priests and shared her experience. She then received a girdle anointed at the tomb of Blessed Brother Estephan Nehme. Upon returning home, Mrs Nakouzi began eating foods that had been forbidden to her for years due to her condition, without experiencing any of the pain or complications she had previously endured.
“For the first time in years, I ate normally and felt my health improving day by day, without pain or fatigue,” she said.
Two months later, Mrs Nakouzi stopped taking her long-term medications and underwent further medical tests and analyses, which showed no negative indicators. Five months have now passed, she noted, “without any symptoms or health setbacks”.
“I used to be hospitalised four or five times a year,” she added, “but today I live my life normally; eating, sleeping, and working with complete peace of mind, by the grace of God.”
Mrs Nakouzi concluded her testimony by expressing her belief that Brother Estephan Nehme wished to deliver a message of hope and faith to those who are suffering through her experience. “God had mercy on me and my family,” she said, “and restored my life after years of torment.”
