The loss in Iran war cannot be compensated for by killing innocent civilians in Lebanon. (See translation in Arabic section) Sydney-Middle East Times Int'l: While Lebanon is suffering from deep internal crises, the country finds itself under Israeli fire targeting civilians and infrastructure, in a continuous escalation that has no justification other than to undermine any hope for peace and stability. Lebanon, which has endured harsh experiences throughout its modern history, is today paying a heavy price as a result of Israeli military policies that make no distinction between military and civilian targets. As for President Trump's recent statements that Iran could be wiped off the map, the question remains: does he mean Lebanon could be wiped off the map, or Iran? At a time when the Lebanese people are suffering from an unprecedented economic crisis and struggling to survive amidst the collapse of state institutions, these attacks only exacerbate the situation and deepen their suffering. The Israeli bombardment of civilian areas in Lebanon is not merely a military escalation; it is a direct attack on humanity. The airstrikes and artillery shelling targeting residential neighborhoods, markets, and hospitals not only result in human casualties but also in the destruction of hope for a people already struggling with a dire economic situation. But the question remains: What do these attacks achieve? Will they restore stability to the region? And will Israel reassert its authority by killing innocent people? No military victory can compensate for the hundreds of lives lost daily, nor can it erase the devastation wrought by the bombardment on Lebanese soil. Ultimately, violence does not create peace; it fuels a cycle of revenge and perpetual destruction. Lebanon is not a party to the major regional conflicts raging in the area. The Lebanese people should not bear the brunt of international or regional conflicts in which they have no part. They have suffered from wars and devastation for decades and now deserve a chance to live in peace, far from the flames of endless battles. Therefore, the international community cannot remain silent in the face of these attacks. Israel must be pressured to halt these attacks and protect civilians in accordance with international law. The continued attacks on Lebanon will only lead to further suffering and deterioration, and will not contribute to finding solutions to the complex regional crises. Lebanon, under Israeli fire, still clings to the distant hope of peace. But peace does not come through warplanes or artillery shells; it comes through the will of the people and a genuine desire for dialogue and negotiation, free from the language of force.
