As an important part of our community providing leadership and enriching the lives of our residents, I invite you to join me as I seek to tackle homelessness once again, with the return of my Mayor’s Lights Out Sleepout event.  

Last year, the sleepout raised almost $30,000 that went towards vital services to support those in need across our City. This year, we are teaming up with Mission Australia, Maronites on Mission and Brothers in Need to raise awareness and much needed funds for those at risk of or experiencing homelessness.  

I invite you to join me to either experience what it is like to sleep rough on a cold winter’s night, or to dig deep and support the event with your donation.

The Mayor’s Lights Out Sleepout will be held at Belmore Sports Ground from 7pm Thursday 18 July to 7am Friday 19 July. 

Dinner, breakfast and snacks will be provided to those who sleepout.
