Sydney - Middle East Times Int’l:  Representative Major General Ashraf Rifi wrote on the “X” platform: “We have always expressed a firm conviction that the state alone is responsible for the security of the Lebanese, defending Lebanon, and protecting its borders, and today we renew our emphasis on rejecting weapons and armed opposition, and we adhere more to the army and security forces.

We reject turning the regions into armed islands, as the “Hezbollah” model is a symbol of the destruction of the state, and adopting it in our regions will lead to generalized chaos.”

He concluded: “For the thousandth time: the state is the only guarantee for the Lebanese.”
