Sydney - Middle East Times Int’l: The head of the Lebanese Forces Party, Samir Geagea, said: “At the present time we are living in many problems. For example, for 5 years until today, we have lost our national currency, people’s money is being held in banks, and there are economic difficulties, which leads to deteriorating living conditions. In addition, state institutions are disintegrating, and the presidential elections are stalled and have been sold out.” By disrupting municipal elections.”
Before meeting with Maarab, Geagea pointed out that “disrupting the presidential elections led to the disruption of all institutions in the state, and the problem is the presence of a state that confiscates the military decision in Lebanon, and there are approximately 25 illegal crossings without any international oversight, and at these crossings the body of Pascal Suleiman passed without any control or oversight.” ".
Geagea said, "Lebanon lost many of the advantages it had previously, such as the application of state sovereignty in general. We were trying to confront and solve these problems, and we as the opposition were meeting and deliberating to find out what we could do to solve these problems from our position as the opposition."
He considered that "the problem that has arisen today and which has become an existential threat to Lebanon is the military operations that were launched from the south and initiated by the 'party,' and we have reached a place where the government was not even informed of the launch of this military operation."
Geagea added, "My best hope is that Iran or Hezbollah will occupy Tel Aviv, but this is not the reality."
