Council parts ways with CEO

Sydney-Middle East Times Int'l: At the Ordinary Council meeting on 13 October 2025, Council resolved to part ways with its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Gail Connolly PSM, effective immediately.
City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Martin Zaiter thanked Ms Connolly PSM for her contributions to the City of Parramatta.
“Since joining in March 2023, Ms Connolly PSM has led the delivery of a number of significant projects and initiatives for the City of Parramatta,” Cr Zaiter said.
Council also resolved to appoint Executive Director City Services and Projects, George Bounassif as Acting CEO while the recruitment process commences for a new CEO.
“I would like to assure our community and ratepayers that our Councillors, executive team and staff remain committed to delivering on our services and commitments and making the City of Parramatta the best place to live work and play.” |
