Sydney - Middle East Times Int'l: Today, Monday, an Amiri order was issued appointing Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as Prime Minister and assigning him to nominate members of the new cabinet.

The following is the text of the Emiri order:

A princely order

Appointing the Prime Minister

- After reviewing the Constitution,

- And the Emiri order issued on 28 Ramadan 1445 AH, corresponding to April 7, 2024 AD, accepting the resignation of the Prime Minister.

First article

- Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah is appointed Prime Minister, and is charged with nominating members of the new cabinet, and presenting their names to us to issue a decree appointing them.

- The Prime Minister must implement this order of ours, inform it of the National Assembly, and it will come into effect from the date of its issuance and be published in the Official Gazette.
