Kuwait supports int'l efforts to boost moderation - Amb. Al-Enezi

KUALA LUMPUR-- Kuwait always seek to support efforts aimed at boosting moderation and cooperation among followers of different religions, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Indonesia Nasser Al-Enezi said Sunday.

In a telephone statement, he told KUNA that Kuwait do all in power to counter extremism and has launched many campaigns in this regard.

"Kuwait participated in the 6th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations held in Bali, Indonesia, on August 28-30 to achieve this objective." The forum discussed positive aspects of cultural, religious and racial diversity as well as the role of social media in enhancing development and promoting understanding between people who belong to different civilizations, countries or religions, he added.

"The forum has sponsored a meeting on "The role of youth in promoting Unity in Diversity" through education, media, migration and entrepreneurship/employment," he added.

The forum, attended by many international leaders, politicians and organizations, entitled: Unity in Diversity, Celebrating Diversity for Common and Shared Values.
