BASSIL: Amnesty Crime Against Homeland

28 May 2020

Lebanon - MP Gebran Bassil tweeted this Thursday: "Pardoning the smallest misdemeanor does not only cause moral damage, but rather encourages more lawlessness. How if the proposition is also to reduce the sentence of those who killed our soldiers? It is time for tough penalties, especially in corruption cases, and not to evade the approval of laws to combat it, as is happening today. Amnesty is impunity, and a new crime against the country."
