Kuwaiti Information Minister: "Kuwait cultural and human history must be spread Worldwide"

14/12/2017

KUWAIT -- Kuwaiti Information Minister Mohammad Al-Jabri has urged officials of the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters (NCCAL) to assist national cadres through proper training to enhance their skills and qualify them for assuming future responsibilities.

Al-Jabri on Thursday received NCCAL Secretary-General Ali Al-Youha, and senior officials from the council and KUNA, together with Secretary of the Kuwait Journalists Association Adnan Al-Rashed, among many well-wishers who congratulated him on assuming his ministerial portfolio.

The minister underlined the prime importance of NNCAL as an enlightened intellectual and cultural platform whose effect has to spread nationwide, and beyond.

He pointed to the council's role depicting Kuwait cultural and human history to create a mental image for the world to see, coping with the "Kuwait 2035" vision, so that Kuwait would restore its leading role as a beacon of culture and civilization.

Minister Al-Jabri voiced pride of KUNA's credible, integrated and transparent media message, covering world events through the agency's offices in many countries.

He also called for activating the agency's editorial policy as part of KUNA's strategy for serving the nation's higher interests, and supporting Kuwait's views and stances toward international issues.
