Lebanese Army receives first batch of Qatari financial grant

Lebanon - The Lebanese Army Command on Friday received the first batch of the Qatari financial grant awarded by Qatari Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to the Lebanese Army in support of monthly wages, a communique issued by the Lebanese army said, adding that the grant is being distributed equally among all military personnel.

Lebanese Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, thanked the State of Qatar and its Emir for this valuable initiative, noting its commitment to Lebanon and its army in light of the tough economic challenges it faces.
