President Aoun arrives to Qatar

Lebanon - President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, arrives to Qatar, at the invitation of Qatari Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to participate in the opening of the Arab Football Cup - FIFA 2021.

The expanded talks between President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, and the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, with the participation of the Lebanese and Qatari delegations, dealt with bilateral relations and ways to develop them and Qatari support for Lebanon in several areas.

Then a retreat was held between President Aoun and the Emir of Qatar, in which the issues raised in the expanded talks were completed.

The official accompanying delegation includes: Energy Minister, Walid Fayyad, former Minister, Pierre Raffoul, and Director General of General Security, Major General Abbas Ibrahim.

The Lebanese Ambassador to Qatar, Mrs. Farah Berri, will also join the delegation in Doha.

For his part, Minister Fayyad will discuss energy-related issues with Qatari officials, and the possibility of benefiting from their expertise in the field of exploration and extraction of gas and oil.
