Parramatta sparkles with iconic Christmas tree lighting ceremony (See translation in Arabic section) Sydney-Middle East Times Int'l: The City of Parramatta is kicking-off the festive season with the annual lighting of its iconic 16-metre Christmas tree in Parramatta Square on Thursday 27 November, setting the tone for a bumper summer event season. The tree will officially be lit by City of Parramatta Lord Mayor, Councillor Martin Zaiter who will also announce the winner of the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Card competition on the night. The event will also include Christmas Markets, bringing festive cheer to the heart of the City with food, gifts and live music, supported by Walker Corporation.
