His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of congratulations to President Paul Biya of the friendly Republic of Cameroon, expressing his sincere congratulations on the occasion of his country's National Day. He wished him good health and well-being, and wished the Republic of Cameroon and its friendly people further progress and prosperity.
Separately, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of condolences to his brother, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Sultan of Oman, expressing his sincere condolences on the death of the mother of His Majesty's wife, the late Khalisa bint Nasr bin Ya'rub Al Busaidi. His Highness prayed to Allah Almighty to bestow His mercy upon her soul and grant her eternal peace in Paradise, and to grant the family and relatives of the deceased patience and solace.
