Sydney-Middle East Times Int'l:
MP Ihab Hamadeh, a member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc, appealed to President Joseph Aoun and the Lebanese army to protect Lebanese citizens on the Lebanese border with Syria.
Hammadeh confirmed to Al-Manar that "there are no clashes with the Syrian side, but rather rocket attacks on Lebanese border villages."
Al-Arabiya sources reported that "the Syrian army is preparing to mobilize forces on the border with Lebanon," following the killing of gunmen attempting to enter Lebanese territory. Earlier today, Al-Nashra's correspondent in the Bekaa reported that "four militants from Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham attempted to enter Lebanese territory in al-Qasr, killing two people and wounding others after they were confronted by a group of tribal gunmen. They were transferred to a hospital in the area."
The correspondent stated that "the Lebanese army has deployed extensively along the border, and investigations are underway to determine the reasons behind the militants' entry into Lebanese territory."
He revealed that "among the four who attempted to enter Lebanon, two were Syrian nationals from Idlib and one was a Chechen gunman."
