Parramatta’s iconic cultural hub is bringing creativity and community together this year kicking off with Fabric Connections – Textile Play for Adults, an immersive exploration of textiles, creativity and community.
PHIVE’s cultural and educational program promises something for adults and kids alike, from the Threads Exhibition on the Western Terrace to tours of PHIVE, Parramatta Town Hall and the array of public art across the City.
City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Martin Zaiter said he welcomed people to enjoy the many experiences PHIVE has on offer.
 “If you are looking for exciting, free and affordable activities, look no further than PHIVE,” Cr Zaiter said.
 “This is our City’s very own ‘urban living room’ offering a welcoming space where people of all ages can come together to learn, play, grow, connect, create lasting memories and explore the heart of Parramatta.
 “Whether you’re looking to tap into your creative side by getting hands-on with art, learning something new, exploring history or simply enjoying the atmosphere and connecting with your community, there’s something for everyone.”
What’s on at PHIVE:
•    Fabric Connections – Textile Play for Adults: a weekly immersive adult workshop for a relaxing exploration of textiles, creativity and community.
Western Terrace:
•    Threads Exhibition: in celebration of International Women’s Day, Threads is an exhibition of handmade artworks by the Fabric Connections Community and creative play curated by Linda Brescia. Throughout the night, a multidisciplinary artist will be running a beginner friendly workshop.
•    Tours: Parramatta Town Hall Tour, PHIVE Building Tour and Parramatta Public Art Tour offers the chance to explore the history, architecture and creativity behind these iconic spaces.
•    Paid programs: Messy Sensory Play for Babies, PHIVE Pre-school Pioneers and Yoga Cubs (Babies & Pre-schoolers).
