The Ethnic Communities’ Council of NSW ... stands in solidarity with the Jewish community at this time.

The Ethnic Communities’ Council of NSW condemns the recent spate of Anti-Semitic conduct that is engulfing our communities across NSW  31/01/2025
(See translation in Arabic section)
Sydney-Middle East Times Int'l:
The discovery of a caravan filled with explosives in Dural is harrowing and nothing short of criminal thuggery. We see the basis of Australia’s multiculturalism is for a parting  of the problems of the “old world” and the building of  confidence in this one.
There is no equivocation, nor is there any justifiable explanation for what we have seen in recent weeks. The escalation of anti semitic attacks on our communities should be condemned in the strongest possible terms, and we welcome the fact that it appears disassociated from any official advocates of the plight of the Palestinian people or other advocacy groups.
This is not advocacy. This is bastardy at the highest level and for this reason all communities of Australia should unite in absolute condemnation of the targeting of our Jewish community, in particular the innocent children  that are part of the future of Australia’s multicultural and multi-faith  society.
The Ethnic Communities’ Council of NSW as the peak body representing multicultural communities in NSW stands in solidarity with the Jewish community at this time.
We will continue to collaborate with, offer support to our communities and intend to hold a Forum  in the coming weeks  to unite in a common voice.
Yours in multiculturalism,
Peter Doukas OAM
Chair ECCNSW
