Omani Police: Three Omani brothers “affected by misguided ideas” behind the attack on a mosque in Muscat
Sydney - Middle East Times Int'l: Omani police announced today that three Omani brothers were behind the shooting at a Shiite mosque in Muscat, after ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack.
According to the Omani authorities, the attack that occurred on Monday killed at least six people, including four Pakistanis, an Indian, and a policeman, while 28 others were injured.
The Royal Oman Police said in a statement on the X website, reported by Agence France-Presse: “The three perpetrators involved in the incident are Omanis and are brothers.”
She added that they "died as a result of their insistence on resisting the security forces," adding that they were "influenced by misguided ideas."
