Emile Lahoud, commenting on Hochstein's visit
Sydney - Middle East Times Int’l: Former MP Emile Lahoud said, “It appears that the American envoy, Amos Hochstein, is visiting the wrong country, as he should be in the country that is waging a fierce competition with itself today in setting a new record in the number of children it kills daily, in order to put an end to it.
“This is a crime that humanity condemns today, as it has reached an unprecedented level of brutality.”
Lahoud added in a statement: “We expect Hochstein to stop the Israeli enemy alone, and not to visit Lebanon with the aim of putting pressure on Lebanese officials so that they in turn put pressure on the resistance to neutralize it, with the aim of gaining more time to destroy and kill the remaining Palestinians in Gaza.”
Lahoud concluded: “We tested the credibility of Hochstein and whoever he represented in the negotiations to demarcate the maritime borders. Some people believed the gas lie at the time but let him and whoever sent him know that we will not give up today what is much more precious than the gas, that is, the blood of our children.”
