Sydney-Middle East Times Int'l:
Montessori Academy welcomed Lebanon’s Minister for Education, Her Excellency Professor Rima Karami Akkary, to its Barangaroo centre as part of her international study tour examining global best practice in education.
The visit reinforces Montessori Academy’s position as a leader in early learning models that combine high-quality pedagogy, robust safety standards, and strong regulatory compliance.
Minister Karami Akkary toured the centre, met educators, and observed Montessori Academy’s child-led learning approach, highlighting how elements of this model could be adapted to improve education systems globally.
“Seeing the Montessori model applied here is very impressive,” Minister Karami Akkary said.
“It nurtures children’s curiosity and independence in a structured, supportive environment. There is a great deal our public system in Lebanon can learn from this approach.”
Montessori Academy CEO Charles Assaf said the visit shows that the organisation’s best-practice model is drawing international attention.
“We are honoured that global education leaders are learning from our model,” Mr Assaf said.
