Sydney-Middle East Times Int'l:
  Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Rima Karami, began her activities in Sydney with a visit to the University of Sydney, where she met with the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Joanne Wright. According to a statement, the meeting focused on "exploring avenues for academic cooperation and the exchange of expertise between Lebanese and Australian universities."

Following the visit, she attended a luncheon hosted by Charles Assaf of the Montessori Academy, where they discussed "developing early childhood education methods and exchanging modern educational programs."

The Minister also visited one of Australia's leading early childhood education centers – the Montessori Academy – and reviewed the adopted curricula and innovative educational facilities, praising "the advanced level of education at these institutions." In the evening, Minister Karami attended a concert at Government House, and concluded her day with a dinner with the Lebanese Australian Foundation team, where ways to support "cultural and educational cooperation between Lebanon and Australia" were discussed.
