President of the King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance receives the Archbishop of the Anglican Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East

Sydney – Middle East Times Int'l: His Excellency Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications of Bahrain and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance, received His Eminence Dr. Hussam Naoum, Archbishop of the Anglican Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East, and Bishop Sean Semple, Archdiocese of Cyprus and the Gulf, on the occasion of their visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. They were accompanied by the Most Reverend Dr. Richard Vermer, Dean of St. Christopher's Cathedral in Manama.
During the meeting, the Minister and Chairman of the Board of Trustees welcomed Archbishop Naoum and the accompanying delegation, expressing the Kingdom of Bahrain's pride in hosting the Regional Council of the Anglican Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East, which reflects its established position as a model of respect for religious freedom. Consolidating the values of tolerance, coexistence, and dialogue among different religions, cultures, and civilizations under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, may God protect him.
His Excellency praised the sublime content of His Majesty the King's reception of Their Eminences, affirming the enlightened royal vision calling for the promotion of shared human values, the dissemination of a culture of peace, tolerance, and love, and the promotion of communication, rapprochement, and cooperation between peoples and cultures for the good of all humanity.
His Excellency the Minister and Chairman of the Board of Trustees expressed his thanks and appreciation to Father Richard Vermer for his great efforts in supporting the activities of St. Christopher's Cathedral and his valuable contributions to the organization and success of the Regional Synod of the Anglican Episcopal Church. He affirmed the Kingdom's aspiration to host the 50th anniversary celebration of the founding of the Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf next February, thus enhancing joint cooperation in spreading the culture of peace and tolerance.
For their part, Bishop Dr. Hussam Naoum and the accompanying delegation expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, for its respect. For religious freedoms, and its pioneering initiatives, under the supervision of the King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance, in consecrating the values of peace and tolerance.
