Sydney - Middle East Times Int’l: MP Ihab Matar wished that the Prime Minister-designate Nawaf Salam would expedite the formation of the new government due to its ability to revive the country's economy after a difficult military, security and political period, stressing that he has not communicated with Judge Salam until now to discuss any suggestions or interventions that may hinder the work and activity of the Prime Minister-designate, saying: "I believe that I was perhaps the only MP who did not communicate to obstruct the work of the President or interfere in the process of forming the government, which we hope will not be unfair to anyone."
Matar said during a breakfast banquet during which he honored the media professionals of Tripoli and the north at the "Beitna" restaurant - Ad-Dam Sorting: “President Salam has complete freedom in how to form his government, and choose the figures he finds suitable, whether in terms of expertise and competence or in terms of his appreciation and taking into consideration the political or sectarian balances in the country.
The efforts or discussions he is making now in cooperation with the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, will be presented to us as representatives, so that we may give them confidence or withhold it from him.
