Kuwait participates in GACIC meeting
BERLIN-- Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) on Wednesday participated in a meeting by the German-Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GACIC) in Berlin, within the presence of the heads of Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ARABCCI).
Head of KCCI Ali Al-Ghanim commended the prominent role played by GACIC in strengthening economic and investment ties between the Arab region and Germany.
He underlined the importance of the Chamber's activities in developing ties with Germany, which hosts the largest European economy, as do Arab countries, especially Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
Meanwhile, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Berlin Najeeb Al-Bader said in a statement to KUNA that the meeting was constructive and contributed to strengthening investment cooperation relations between both sides.
Al-Bader admired the activities of GACIC, adding that it is one of the most prominent Arab foreign chambers.
German exports to Arab regions are growing and the GCC is one of Germany's leading trade partners in the Arab region, Al-Bader pointed out.
During the meeting, they reviewed the economic activities and ones carried out by GACIC, as well as setting priorities for activities during 2020, he said.
According to Al-Bader, KCCI's head announced a donation in the name of Kuwait totaling EURO 100,000 to contribute to the development of Arab-German investment ties.
Al-Ghanim headed the Kuwaiti delegation.
