HH Kuwait Amir accepts gov't resignation

KUWAIT-- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Thursday accepted the resignation of the government.

His Highness the Amir also ordered the cabinet to serve as caretaker until a new government would be formed.

Earlier in the day, Tareq Al-Mizrem, the government's spokesperson, stated that His Highness the prime minister had tendered his cabinet resignation to His Highness the Amir.
