Kuwait fiercely condemns Israeli aggression on Gaza

13/11/2019

KUWAIT-- Kuwait expressed utter rejection and condemnation of Israel's aggression on the Gaza Strip, which is killing and wounding scores of people.

Israel's ongoing airstrikes on the Palestinian territory is a "continuation of the Israeli occupation's practices and crimes against defenceless Palestinians, constituting a flagrant violation of international laws and norms," read a Kuwait foreign ministry statement.

"This will only lead to more violence and will undermine any chances for peace," it added.

According to media reports, ongoing clashes between Israeli forces and the Islamic Jihad in Gaza erupted on Tuesday after Israel killed the Palestinian group's senior commander Abu Al-Atta.

Israel has been carrying out airstrikes on Gaza, while the group have so far launched more than 200 rockets in retaliation.
