BASSIL Meets British Counterpart Over Regional Situation, Refugees' Crisis, Economic Ties

London - Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil, held talks in London with British Foreign Secretary, Dominic Raab, on the current situation in the Middle East and its impact on Lebanon.

Talks also covered the refugees' crisis and its ramifications, the current situation in south Lebanon and the need to commit to UN Resolution 1701.

Minister Bassil explained the dangers of the Israeli attacks, stressing "Lebanon's adherence to stability."

They also discussed means of bolstering economic, trade and cultural relations between Lebanon and Britain, especially in the field of information technology.

Both agreed to enhance relations post-Brexit, in light of the trade continuity agreement signed today between the both sides.

BASSIL Bound for USA

Foreign Minister, Gebran Bassil, and his accompanying delegation, on Thursday evening left London for USA on a tour that includes Washington, New York and several US States.

Minister Bassil inaugurates Friday the North American Diaspora Energy Conference.
