Rahi meets Argentina's ambassador

Lebanon - Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rahi, on Tuesday received at the Patriarchal seat in Bkirki, the Ambassador of Argentina to Lebanon, Mauricio Alice.

Talks reportedly touched on issues related to the Christian presence in the Middle East, as well as the current situation in the region pertaining to religions, and the need for preserving inter-faiths respect, which is "one of the most important features of Lebanon."

Patriarch Rahi also met with a French parliamentary delegation, with talks reportedly touching on the displaced Syrians' issue and its impact on the Lebanese situation at all levels.

Rahi stressed the importance of the role of Lebanon 'the message', in the Middle East, underlining Lebanon's "model of coexistence in terms of diversity and democracy."
