Honouring Dr Nejmeh Habib

The Arab Australian community has celebrated one of its beacons of academia, Dr Nejmeh Habib, lecturer at Sydney University  and author of seven books. Organised by the Australian Arabic Cultural Centre, the event was well attended by the who’s who in the Arabic community including poets, writers, novelists, journalists, academics and many community leaders. Congratulations to Dr Nejmeh and to the Arab Australian community building on the wealth of knowledge multiculturalism is contributing to rich Australian tapestry of art, culture and literature. 

This is Dr Nejmeh’s background:  Dr Nejmeh Habib has been teaching Arabic language and literature at the University of Sydney since 2003. Working at both the Centre for Continuing Education and the Department of Arabic Language and Culture, Dr Habib brings with her more than 30 years of teaching and research experience and two diplomas in education. She is always looking to improve her teaching strategies and techniques, inspired by the latest theories of education.
