I am delighted to send my best wishes to everyone in NSW celebrating Saint Maroun’s Day.

The patron saint of Lebanon was known for his good deeds and healing many people who flocked to him. Today his Christian legacy lives on across the world through the Maronite Church, which has more than 30,000 parishioners living in NSW.

NSW is proud of the many contributions made to our society by Lebanese Australians. The Maronite Church has been exemplary in promoting social cohesion and harmony in our State.

As Minister for Multiculturalism, I am proud of the Lebanese Australians that contribute in many ways to our multicultural society. Thank you for all that you do and I wish you all a memorable Saint Maroun’s Day.
