Abi Khalil Inspects Ras Baalbeck Flooding Damages

 Jun 2018

Lebanon - Caretaker Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Cesar Abi Khalil, on Thursday inspected the damages caused by the heavy flooding that swept the streets and homes of Ras Baalbeck.

"Our priorities include cleaning the flooding channels in the nearest time possible to prevent damages in the event of further torrential rains," the Minister told a news conference held at the town's municipality.

He also indicated that the Higher Relief Committee was endeavoring to indemnify the damaged citizens as soon as possible.

The conference was held in presence of MPs Antoine Habshi and Bakr Hojeiry, Baalbeck governor Bachir Khodr, and Higher Relief Committee head Maj. Gen. Mohammad Kheir.
