BASSIL Via Twitter: Owing to Heroes' Martyrdom, Arsal Returned

13 Jun 2018

Lebanon - Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Gebran Bassil, posted via Twitter a photograph of a cave during his tour of Arsal.

"Here, in the cave where terrorism kept you, the heroes of Lebanon, captives, we feel your presence among us. Torn between sorrow and pride, intercepted with shame of what some of us have done to harm you and Lebanon, we know that, in the end, you have won and defeated the invaders. Owing to your martyrdom, Arsal returned and Lebanon stood back on its feet..." he wrote.
