Rahi visits Qatari Foreign Minister

Lebanon - Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rahi began the fourth and final day of his pastoral visit to Qatar, by visiting the Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman II, who warmly welcomed the Patriarch and his accompanying delegation.

Abdulrahman praised Rahi's visit to Qatar and stressed the importance of preserving friendly relations between the peoples of both countries.

He also lauded Rahi's role in bringing together all the Lebanese in Lebanon and abroad.

In turn, the prelate thanked Abdulrahman for offering a land to build first Maronite church in an Arab country.

Finally, the Patriarch stressed the need to consolidate ties between the two countries.
