Bank of Sydney celebrates the opening of Chatswood Branch

SYDNEY, 15 March, 2018 – Bank of Sydney has celebrated the opening of its new Branch in Chatswood.

The official opening was held on Tuesday 6th of March in the presence of Dr Nicholas Pappas, Chairman of Bank of Sydney, Dr Salim Sfeir, Chairman and CEO of Bank of Beirut, Mr Nar Aram Khatchadourian, shareholder of Bank of Beirut, Mr Miltos Michaelas, CEO of Bank of Sydney, the Bank’s Executives and Management team along with politicians, diplomats, the local mayor, councillors, community leaders and media representatives.

In his opening speech, Dr Nicholas Pappas, Chairman, welcomed the guests to Bank of Sydney’s new branch and said, “Great day of joy to be standing in the Northern suburbs of Sydney and going across the harbour for the first time! Chatswood is a business and cultural hub and that’s why we are here. It’s an area that services the local energetic community and that’s what Bank of Sydney is here to service too.”

 “It is always a pleasure to have those events in presence of our esteemed Group Chairman Dr Salim Sfeir. It’s the vision of Dr Sfeir that led to Bank of Sydney; a 17 year old robust player on the financial services landscape,” concluded Dr Pappas.

In his speech, Dr Salim Sfeir, Chairman and CEO of Bank of Beirut, said “This occasion has several meanings. It is an additional testimony that Bank of Beirut is faithful to its mission of serving our community around the world. And this occasion is also dear to my heart because it is taking place in Sydney, my favourite destination. Only with you we can make this venture a success story.”

Mr Miltos Michaelas, CEO of Bank of Sydney, conveyed his thanks to everyone for joining the Bank’s team at this special occasion and said, “2 years ago, we had the dream of opening a branch in Chatswood and here we are today at the place where the Bank wants to be! We are proud to have our focus on building and supporting the communities around us. We thank them for all the support they have given us all those years, and today the big thank you goes to the community in Chatswood for the support and embracement they showed us from day one. Thank you Chatswood,thank you Chatswood team, and thank you all for being with us today,” concluded Mr Michaelas.

The new branch is located on 420 Victoria Ave, Chatswood and open Monday to Friday, from 9.30am to 5.00pm.
