BASSIL'S Media Bureau Denies Recent Circulated News

11 Mar 2018

Lebanon - Foreign and Expatriates Minister Gibran Bassil's media bureau denied in an issued statement on Sunday the recent circulated news accusing him of a meeting with Lebanese expatriates in Australia.

"The alleged private meeting with 8 Lebanese expatriates in Australia did not take place neither in form nor in content," the statement said.

The statement also categorically denied what was published by Ad-Diyar newspaper this morning under the headline, "My battle with Amal will not end, and Berri ought to weakly reach the Parliament presidency."

The statement concluded by saying "the attributed speech [to minister Bassil] is unfounded and is a figment of the imagination."
