The strategy, he said, will serve as a constructive reference for building national education policies and for guiding the continuous development of all stages and types of education.

The council during its meeting reviewed the measures taken with regard to proposed education stages and paths for the education system in the Sultanate and decided to continue study on this issue. The council also discussed the need for women teaching staff during the first cycle of basic education and means of meeting such needs, such as opening bachelor degree programme for this cycle, as well as take necessary measures to initiate this programme at various teaching institutions in the Sultanate.
