Abdullah bin Zayed inaugurates UAE Consulate in Sao Paulo

SAO PAULO, 22nd March, 2017 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has inaugurated the UAE Consulate in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in the presence of Joao Doria, Mayor of Sao Paulo, and Hafsa Abdullah Al Ulama, UAE Ambassador to Brazil.

Sheikh Abdullah, accompanied by Doria, unveiled a memorial plaque to mark the official opening of the office.

A number of members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the city of Sao Paulo, and staff at the consulate welcomed Sheikh Abdullah on his arrival for the inauguration.

Abdullah bin Zayed meets Governor of Sao Paulo

SAO PAULO: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met yesterday with Geraldo Alckmin, Governor of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the future of bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of boosting them and developing them in various fields, including in the economic, investment, trade and tourism sectors.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed reaffirmed the strong relations between the UAE and Brazil and the continuous efforts to enhance and develop them in various fields.

The Governor of Sao Paulo welcomed Sheikh Abdullah and his accompanying delegation, and noted that bilateral relations between the UAE and Brazil are witnessing remarkable development in various fields. He also praised the comprehensive cultural renaissance witnessed by the UAE and its leading position on regional and international platforms.

The meeting was attended by Hafsa Abdullah Al Ulama, UAE Ambassador to Brazil.
