Kuwaiti Amb. to Rome receives UANI representative

ROME-- Kuwait's Ambassador to Italy Sheikh Ali Khaled Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and representative of United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) and Italian Ambassador Giulio Terzi di Sant'Agata discussed Wednesday the risk of proliferation of nuclear weapons in the world.

This came during a meeting between the Kuwaiti diplomat and UANI at Kuwait's embassy headquarters in Rome, the embassy said in a statement to KUNA.

In the same context, Terzi called on the Kuwait embassy and GCC diplomatic delegations to take part in the international conferences and forums held by UANI to work on halting weapons proliferation.

For his part, the Kuwaiti ambassador welcomed the Italian minister, praising his role in enhancing the the level of bilateral relations between the two countries.

He stressed that "Kuwait and the GCC have a grave concern about the nuclear programs and activities, which represents a real threat to the environment and lead to serious disasters."
