Turkish President receives UAE FM Abdullah bin Zayed

 ISTANBUL: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received, on Monday, the visiting UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at Yildiz Palace, in Istanbul.

During the meeting, which was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu, Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the regards of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to the Turkish president and their best wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Turkey and its people.

The meeting tackled ways of enhancing bilateral ties and reviewed current events in the region. The two sides also exchanged views on a variety of regional and international issues of mutual concern.

HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed emphasised the importance of bilateral relations and means of boosting them in different fields.

While reciprocating greetings to the UAE leaders, President Erdogan underlined his country's keenness to strengthen ties with the UAE, saying the Turkish government pays special attention to these ties given the prominent standing held by the UAE globally.

UAE Ambassador to Turkey Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar attended the meeting.
