Alwaleed Foundation Board Approves 2015 Budget

Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundations* held Board of Trustees meetings, which were chaired by HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz AlSaud, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the headquarters in Riyadh. The meetings were attended by members of the board including Ms. Nada AlSugair, Executive Director of Finance and Administration of HRH’s Private Office and The Foundations, Mrs. Abir Kaki, Secretary General of Alwaleed Foundations and Dr. Sheikh Ali AlNashwan, Religious Advisor to HRH.

The discussions focused on the current projects of Alwaleed Foundations for the second half of 2014 and their impact on society. Additionally, the meetings addressed future strategies that maximize impact, and ensure strategic positioning of the Foundations. The Board of Trustees commended the positive impact of the projects ranging from social development projects, to responding and aiding victims of disasters around the world, women’s empowerment as well as social and cultural initiatives. Moreover, the board approved 2015 budget and operation strategy.

Ms. Nora Al Malki who leads the National Initiatives highlighted the latest local updates along with Ms. AlAnoud AlMohamadi, Executive Manager and Ms. Amal AlKathiri, Project Manager at Alwaleed Foundation. The Global I Foundation team consisting of Ms. Nauf Al Rawaf – Executive Manager of International Development Projects, Ms. Mona Shahab – Executive Manager of Intercultural Initiatives, and Ms. Amal AlGrafi, Project Manager presented their respective department’s highlights. Finally, Princess Lamia Bint Majid Alsaud discussed the future direction of the Media and Communications department and the impact of the media's role in highlighting the projects and initiatives to ensure clarity of the Foundations mission and vision.

The Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundations are involved in a wide spectrum of humanitarian and philanthropic activities in 90 countries. Their focus areas have been established around strategic initiatives, ranging from Disaster Relief and Community Development, to Women and Youth Empowerment, as well as Promoting Intercultural Understanding.
