Libyan ambassador presents credentials in Canberra

Sydney - Middle East Times International: H.E Ambassador Misbah Abdul Qadir Allafi presents his credentials to Governor General of Australia, Quentin Bryce, as the first Ambassador of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Great Socialist People in Australia.

During the meeting, Ambassador Allafi, stressed the Australian-Libyan relations which developed distinctive in all areas of political, economic, educational and investment.

The Ambassador conveyed the greetings of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi to the Governor General of Australia, Quentin Bryce.

The Governor-General stressed the strong relations between Libya and Australia, also asked Ambassador Allafi to convey her greetings to the Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

The Governor-General wished the ambassador Allafi every success in his mission.

In the evening, the Governor General and her husband, Mr. Price held a reception in honour of the Ambassador Misbah Abdul Qadir Allafi, and a number of other ambassadors.

Ambassador Allafi was accompanied at the ceremony by Naima Mohammed (Counsellor), Idris Ataguri (Consul), Esmail Abuzainin (Counsellor) and Mrs Faeza Benghali (Ambassador’s wife).
