08/02/2016

(KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ambassador to Australia Najeeb Al-Bader discussed on Monday with Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop issues of common concern and bilateral relations.

During their meeting, the two sides also delved into bilateral cooperation and current developments on the region and international arena, namely the Syrian crisis and the humanitarian situation, namely efforts exerted by Kuwait and Australia to aid Syrian refugees in neighboring countries.

In a telephone call with KUNA, Ambassador Al-Bader said the talks also focused on ways to improve investment, economic, and trade relations between the two countries.

The ambassador expressed satisfaction at volume of trade exchanges between the two countries which reached more than Australian Dollar (AD) one billion (one AD equals USD 0.70 cents), as well as Kuwaiti investments in Australia, estimated at USD 12 billion.
