Emir of Kuwait receives Omani Majlis Ash’shura Chairman

KUWAIT — Sheikh Sabah al Ahmed al Jabir al Sabah, Emir of Kuwait received yesterday Shaikh Khalid bin Hilal al Maawali, Chairman of the Majlis Ash’shura, on the sidelines of the Majlis Ash’shura delegation’s official visit to Kuwait.

During the meeting, Al Maawali conveyed greetings of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos to Sheikh Sabah al Ahmed al Jabir al Sabah, Emir of Kuwait along with His Majesty’s best wishes of good health and happiness to Sheikh al Sabah and the Kuwaiti brotherly people further progress and prosperity.

On his turn, Sheikh al Sabah asked Al Maawali to convey his greetings and best wishes of good health and a long life to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people continuous progress and prosperity.

During the meeting, the Emir welcomed Al Maawali, affirming on the deep bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries. He wished the Majlis Ash’shura continuous success.

The meeting touched on aspects of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the parliamentary areas and means of promoting the joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

Meanwhile, Marzooq Ali al Ghanim, Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, also received Al Maawali on the sidelines of the invitation of the National Assembly for the Majlis Ash’shura to attend the opening of the Kuwaiti National Assembly’s third ordinary session of the 14th legislative term.
