Arab Bank Australia to support Lebanon’s Business Community 22/10/2014 (Translation of this article appears in Arabic section)
Mr Geoff Wild at the Down Town - Beirut
Chairman of Arab Bank Australia, Mr. Geoff Wild, accompanied by the CEO of the Bank Mr. Joe Rizk, recently visited Lebanon to meet with colleagues at Arab Bank Lebanon, and others in Lebanon’s business community. Upon his returns to Sydney, Mr. Wild provided the following view of his visit.
What struck me the most on my recent visit to Lebanon was the optimism, courage and commitment of the people I met. Given the continuing uncertainty of the country, it is an object lesson to observe how life just goes on. I haven’t been to the country for some time and it was quite illuminating (and refreshing) to observe the progress that has been made, and see plans for future development in the country, hopefully our Bank will be able to support these projects.

Our colleagues at Arab Bank in Lebanon were able to give us deep insights to the business community and the people we met in Lebanon would hold their own in any country of the world. I really enjoyed every moment of my visit.
