A large number of social media users have reacted to a video clip of a Kuwaiti child sitting at the grave of the late Amir Sabah Al-Ahmad, to inform him of the Gulf reconciliation between Qatar and Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates and Egypt.

In the video, the child’s message to the late Emir of Kuwait goes: “Peace be upon you, O Yuba (father), I bring good tidings to you, O Abu Kabir (great father).

“This is all thanks to God Almighty and thanks to your efforts and our father Nawaf al-Khair (the current Amir). Complete your journey. May God have mercy on you, O Father Sabah."

The video sparked widespread comment on social media, considering it one of the most influential clips regarding reactions to the reconciliation during the Gulf summit in Al-Ula, Saudi Arabia.

The late Amir Sabah Al-Ahmad led unremitting efforts to achieve reconciliation before his death last September at the age of 91.
