RAHI: Those Obstructing Government Formation Are Enemies of Lebanon

17 Jan 2020

Lebanon - Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Rahi said Friday that those obstructing the birth of the new government were the enemies of Lebanon, adding that their practices are pushing the Lebanese to take to the streets.

"Tonight, I would like to declare that whoever impedes the formation of the awaited government is dragging Lebanon deeper and deeper in its financial and economic crisis," the prelate said during a mass service in Bkerki.

"With such conduct, they are declaring enmity towards the Lebanese people, Lebanon and its institutions. I call them the enemies of Lebanon," he stressed.
