Assad: What happens in Lebanon is good if it is spontaneous and aims to rid it of sectarianism

10/12/2019

Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad stressed that his country will emerge from the war more strongly and that its future is promising and the field situation there is now better.

On the protests taking place in Lebanon, Assad said in an interview with the Italian "Ray News 24" channel broadcast today: "If what is happening is spontaneous and aims to rid the country of the sectarian system, then this is good, and the demonstrations calling for reform and improving the economic situation are positive, but sabotage, destruction, killing and interference of external forces can only be bad and dangerous for everyone."
