19/08/2019

KUWAIT-- The government will use all resources to help entities highlighting Kuwait's achievements in the regional and global scenes, said Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Mohammad Al-Jabri Monday.

This statement came during the minister's separate receptions of delegations representing Kuwait Journalists Association's (KJA) -- which won a seat in the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) Executive Committee elections back in June -- and the National Union of Kuwait Students (NUKS).

In his meeting with KJA, minister Al-Jabri commended the association for their outstanding achievement back in June, expressing his unconditional support towards journalists and media personnel.

On his part, member of the IFJ executive committee and KJA member of the board Dhairan Aba Al-Khaili thanked the minister for his support, commending the official on forwarding the IFJ's basic announcement on media freedoms in the Arab world to the Arab Information Ministers meetings in Cairo.

Meanwhile, Minister Al-Jabri said, during his meeting with the NUKS-US branch members, that Kuwaiti students abroad were the future of the country and hopefully they will contribute immensely to the state's 2035 vision for development.

He noted that NUKS-US branch will hold their annual conference under the auspices of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, affirming that the ministry of youth will do its utmost to help make the event a success.

The members of the NUKS delegation commended the minister for his kind words, stressing that the union will make sure to bring out the best from Kuwait's students.
