Kuwaiti envoy places focus on global humanitarian initiatives

16/12/2018

VIENNA-- Kuwait is eager to contribute to humanitarian endeavors all over the globe, its ambassador to Austria Sadiq Marafie said on Sunday.

The Kuwait diplomat's remarks came amid the International Festival Bazaar, an annual charitable event organized by the United Nations Women's Guild, a voluntary organization of women connected with the UN to assist children in need.

Kuwait's support for this humanitarian initiative stems from its unwavering commitment to the principles of human rights, Marafie, who also serves as the Gulf state's permanent envoy to international organizations, added.

He highlighted the event as an opportunity for Kuwait to showcase its rich history of philanthropy, in addition to being acquainted with different cultures.

The Kuwaiti pavilion at the event has a myriad of national products on display, much to the delight of the spectators on hand, he added.
